Roots & Shoots is coming to Summerside on April 18!

After hearing from our community that Summerside needed Roots & Shoots, we’ve expanded our program to be once a month at the Summerside Rotary Library! Please join us on the third Tuesday of the month from 6 - 8pm for Summerside Roots & Shoots. Our first meeting will be Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

Roots & Shoots is a supportive space for families with trans or gender diverse children. No matter how old your child is, all family members are welcome to join PEERS Alliance staff & volunteers to have discussions, gain knowledge, and enjoy light refreshments in a non-judgmental environment. Bring your open minds and hearts, and learn best practices for supporting the trans or gender diverse member(s) of your family.

If your gender creative child under 13 years of age, you can bring them along for the Shoots portion of the evening! We partner with Sierra Club PEI Wild Child, and the evening includes fun, outdoor programming with staff, volunteers, and kids who are just like them.
