Queer Youth Writing Club

  • PEERS Alliance 250b Queen Street Charlottetown, PE, C1A 4B8 Canada (map)

A collaboration between the PEI Writers’ Guild and P.E.E.R.S. Alliance.

The Queer Youth Writing Club meets on LAST Monday of the month from 6 - 8 pm at the PEERS Alliance office at 250B Queen Street.

The Queer Writing Club was created as an intentional comfortable, safe space for 2SLGBTQ+ youth aged 12 - 18 to learn and grow in their writing. The club focuses on different forms of writing (poetry, fantasy, screenwriting, etc.) as well as taking pieces from brainstorming all the way to copyediting and publishing! While the focus here isn’t necessarily on writing queer pieces (as youth can choose to write whatever they like!), there is beauty in being surrounded by other 2SLGBTQ+ writers who are also striving to write new, exciting pieces and getting to share your work in an encouraging and supportive space.

Open to new writers - just drop in!

Questions? Contact Vanessa at info@peersalliance.ca! Please note that this program runs year-round and takes a break from July - August.
